What’s Going on at the Jersey Shore This July?

July 4th might have already gone out with a bang, but there are still so many exciting things to do at the Jersey Shore this month! When you book your shore house rental in Ocean City or anywhere else along the sea, you can enjoy these upcoming events:

16th Annual Freedom Fest State Fair: July 11 to 15

This year’s state fair will take place in Mercer County Park! For the price of one ticket, you and your family can enjoy carnival rides, a live magic show, racing pigs, and much more at this lively five-day festival.

NJ State Barbeque Championship & Blues Festival: July 13 to 15

Take a day off from the Wildwood Beach to enjoy some mouthwatering BBQ! This open-air festival features fierce competitions, live cooking demonstrations, and delicious meals that will leave you wanting more. After you eat, stop by the main stage to hear some of the best blues music in the nation.

14th Annual Celtic Weekend: July 14 to 15

Visit Cape May’s Historic Cold Spring Village to celebrate Irish and Scottish culture. This event is great for families! Children can learn about the village and participate in the Kiddie Highland Games, which includes kid-friendly versions of caber toss, shot put, hammer throw, and other famous tests of strength.

31st Annual Art Festival: July 15

Artists and fine crafters from across the nation will show off their stunning pieces this summer at Harvey Cedars’ famous art festival. Their selection will include paintings, photography, pottery, and unusual works of art. Why not pick up something for your home?

Quick Chek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning: July 27 to 29

The largest hot air balloon and music festival in North America takes place right in Whitehouse Station, NJ! You can rise into the sky in a sea of hot air balloons when you sign up for one of this festival’s mass ascensions, or you can stay on the ground, enjoy the view, and check out its fantastic nighttime concerts.

The 64th Annual Night in Venice: July 28

You may not be able to hop on a plane to Italy, but you can enjoy Ocean City’s famous boat parade and contest for decorated bayfront homes. This year’s theme is “TV’s Greatest Hits,” so you can join thousands of spectators as icons from your favorite shows float past. The parade ends with a gorgeous fireworks display.
