Designer bathroom plus a private, fully enclosed outdoor shower includes laundry w/ high-capacity washer and gas dryer. Kitchen - gas stove, full fridge, dishwasher, double sink, large breakfast counter, all the gadgets you need to prepare practically anything. Fresh herbs in the garden just outside the back door for your use.
Spacious open dining/living room, Firestick TV, WiFi, central A/C (ocean breezes no extra charge). Unique native garden provides unusually generous outdoor space and privacy, with patio and lounge areas, hammock, Picnic table, sunny and shady areas, five-burner propane gas grill, enclosed outdoor shower. Off-street parking handles about 4 cars.

* HOW NEAR THE BEACH? About 300 feet - three houses from a magnificent PRIVATE BEACH and the Atlantic Ocean.
* WHERE IS NORMANDY? Located between Seaside and Point Pleasant, just north of Silver Beach. Normandy is ideal for a QUIET relaxing stay at the Jersey Shore. Homes are owner-occupied, very few summer rentals, very nice neighbors. Low traffic lane.
* ANY RESOURCES NEARBY? Excellent local restaurants, deli/grocery, specialty shops, services, and Wawa in walking distance. More in nearby Lavallette, Brick, Bay Head, and Point Pleasant. Once you arrive you won't need your car much until you head to the boardwalks or leave to return home.
* WHAT ELSE IS NEARBY? Boardwalks, kayak and bicycle rentals, Seaside, Point Pleasant Beach, Island Beach State Park, Cattus Island County Park, other attractions, services, facilities, and activities all a very short drive.
* IS THE HOUSE ADA COMPLIANT? No. There are three entry steps in front and two in back. The bathroom is NOT wheelchair accessible.
* DO YOU DISCOUNT FOR LONGER-TERM RENTALS? Yes. We reduce our weekly rate after two weeks' stay by $100/week.
* GETTING THERE: Normandy is about 70 miles from Manhattan, 80 miles from Philadelphia. Commuter buses to Toms River, Lakewood, and commuter rail to Bay Head). Three miles north of Lavallette, six miles north of Seaside Heights, seven miles south of Pt. Pleasant Beach boardwalk.
THE FINE PRINT: (Typical for area rentals).
* Check in: Saturdays after 2PM -- Checkout: Saturdays before 11AM. Owners inspect and clean between each rental.
* Rentals by weekly increments. We don't do daily rentals.
* New renters must provide full contact information, a credit report (CreditKarma dot com is fine) and 2 references - mandatory
* Mutually binding standard contract, 50% Deposit upon signing contract and Balance by June 1st required.
* $250 Security - refunded after inspection for damage.
* Renters supply their own towels, sheets, and personal products such as soaps, shampoos, etc. Owner provides many other amenities including some umbrellas and beach chairs.
* Beach Use: buy discounted weekly badges ($40 weekly rate with rental) in advance through Normandy beach association. Buy daily badges ($10/day) on the beach.
* House is regularly checked and cleaned between rentals.
* Sorry, no pets - no exceptions.
* No smoking inside the house.
* Renters are responsible for placing trash curbside (trash Mondays and Thursdays, recycling Fridays). Township Robo-cans provided.
* Renters must return property in "as-found or better" condition. Owner does not provide cleaning service but can refer services if requested.
