First, the thing that confuses everyone: The Villas is not a type of house, and it is not inside Cape May City. It is the name of a bayfront neighborhood in Lower Township, Cape May County, sitting right on the Delaware Bay on the western edge of the Cape May peninsula. You will see it written as The Villas, Villas NJ, or Cape May Villas, because it shares the Cape May mailing area. The homes are classic shore houses, from bay cottages to bigger bayfront places, not a row of mansions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What matters for a trip is the geography. The Villas faces due west over open water, which is why the sunsets are what they are, and it sits about ten to fifteen minutes from downtown Cape May and fifteen to twenty-five from the Wildwood boardwalk.
